cookie season

Christmas CheerThe holidays are my favorite time of year and I am sure that the copious amounts of sweets have a little something to do with this. Back in Minnesota my mom throws an annual cookie party where everyone bakes 5 dozen cookies for an exchange (SO many cookies). My brother and I used to beg to stay up to see the white elephant exchange that would happen post cookie swapping. The party kicks off the holiday season at home and I started a similar (smaller scale) cookie party in San Francisco.

A few recipes on my list to try this year:

Peanut Butter & Pretzel Bars

Salted Caramel Turtle Thumbprint Cookies

Olive Oil & Sea Salt Brownie Cookies

Chewy Spice Cookies

Jam Thumbprint Cookies

And lastly my mom’s famous Candy Cane Cookies

Time to get baking!
