I Was Told There’d Be Cake/ A series of essays that chronicle the struggles and unexpected beauty of modern urban life. Crosley knocks it out of the park. This is one of my favorite books I have read this year.
Early One Morning/Historical fiction that involves a woman fleeing occupied Rome with her sister, when she locks eyes with a mother who is being deported and shoves her son toward Chiara. Flash forward and the two women’s decision to save a child during WWII will have powerful reverberations over the years.
Why Note Me?/ The newest installment by Kaling, funny as usual and worth picking up. She dishes about ex B.J. Novak as well.
