Nesting in the tundra began for me when I moved into a new home this December. After searching for a place with plenty of character, light, and of course location, I found my match in downtown Minneapolis. Close to the river, all the foods, and filled with light. My first home alone sans roommates (a necessity financially and mentally in San Francisco), has begun to come together and I wanted to post a few pictures. Luckily I was able to move in slowly, with the help of the most wonderful parents (SO many trips/boxes etc.) and am so excited to be in my new home.
We painted the entire apartment around New Years, to say the space before was colorful before was an understatement. My neutral color focused brain needed a blank slate, immediately. Please excuse the poor lighting…
Now for the fun part…PAINTING. My best friend and her husband were in town from LA, and they graciously volunteered themselves to help with the project. I don’t think they knew what they were getting themselves into, those walls are over 14 feet high. But with the guidance of my dad the master painter, my mom, the cutting guru and my “moral” support, we knocked the project out.
We did it, only one cat was painted on the wall (shout out to Jen), and the white walls make me smile everyday.
