london calling

London CallingMy mom and I escaped the frozen tundra earlier this month for a jaunt to a less snowy but still chilly London. We had the best time tromping around in the constant drizzle. We saw many a museum (topping out at 4 audio guided tours), found excellent shopping, and of course delicious food. Our mutual love of history was appeased the entire trip! A little rundown of our travels is below.

Favorite Eats:

Honey and Co

The Ivy Cafe (our favorite meal and the interior is !!!)

The Riding House Cafe *best breakfast

The Grazing Goat

Sourced (Wigmore Street by our hotel and easy grab and go)

Borough Market (all the food)

Favorite Activities:

St. Paul’s Cathedral (climb the dome)

Tour of Parliament (gooooood history)

Victoria & Albert Museum (things on things, less art, really great!)

Westminister Abbey (necessary stop, make sure to get a verger tour)

Selfridges (the accessories hall was just redone, excellent window shopping)

Fortum and Mason (try all the chocolates)

A night at The Royal Ballet (the most beautiful thing)

Favorite Walks:

Wandering down Wigmore Street and up Marylebone High Street

Regent’s Park

Tower Bridge to Parliament (along the river you can get a lay of the city)

And of course a few photos…London CallingLondon Callingbhot0064London Calling London Calling London Calling London CallingLondon Calling London CallingLondon CallingLondon Calling
